What the Role Entails
We are recruiting for Energy Engineers (graduate (2-5 years experience) and senior positions available) to join our growing team, to help in the delivery of a diverse range of energy efficiency and low carbon projects for our wide-ranging public and private sector clients. You have the option to be based at any of our UK office locations, and/or hybrid working is also available. IT equipment and software/services provided.
Role & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will work as a member of our Energy Group and will be involved in all aspects of professional input to energy engineering consultancy projects for a wide variety of sectors and clients. You will be tasked with delivering high quality technical project work on time and in budget. Depending on your level of experience and appetite for such work, you may also be involved in:
- Mentoring of less experienced colleagues
- Business development
- Project management
The candidate will need to hold a valid UK driving licence and passport for business travel requirements associated with the role and project delivery. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and position requirements.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess an Honours Degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Other engineering disciplines (e.g. Chemical, Process, Civil and Environmental) will also be considered.
Experience
The ideal candidate should have demonstrable experience in one or more of the following:
- Energy efficiency and low carbon auditing of industrial, commercial and public sector buildings/sites
- Preparation of net zero carbon strategies for industrial, commercial and public sector organisations
- Renewable energy feasibility studies and design
- Mechanical/building services engineering
- Working across multiple sectors e.g. food and drink, chemical/pharmaceutical, energy, leisure, commercial-retail, public sector, etc.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to manage clients and projects for the firm
- Strong report writing skills and ability to convey complex information in concise technical reports/deliverables
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data in order to identify potential improvements/solutions
- Self-motivation and high levels of initiative
