Pelham House, one of Sussex's most beautiful exclusive-use wedding and events venues, is looking for a Night Host to join our team.
Set in the heart of historic Lewes, this exciting role is perfect for someone who enjoys a varied position combining guest service, security, venue presentation and operational support.
As the overnight ambassador for Pelham House, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort and safety of our guests while maintaining the high standards for which our venue is known.
- Guest Experience
- Providing a warm, professional and welcoming presence throughout the night.
- Assisting with late check-ins and guest enquiries.
- Responding promptly to ad hoc guest requests.
- Helping ensure guests are considerate of our neighbours and surrounding community.
- What You'll Be Doing
- Conducting regular and thorough security patrols of the venue, including our 29 guest bedrooms and public areas.
- Monitoring CCTV systems and ensuring all access points are secure.
- Managing the arrival and departure of guests and vehicles when required.
- Identifying and addressing any concerns relating to security, safety or noise.
- Venue Presentation
- Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of public areas, including reception, lounges and bar spaces.
- Completing cleaning and maintenance checklists to ensure the venue is ready for the morning team.
- Reporting maintenance concerns promptly and accurately.
- Operational Support
- Assisting with event and breakfast setup for the following day.
- Providing practical support to the Front of House Team if required
- Supporting general venue preparation and room setup activities.
- Completing night audit and administrative tasks as required.
- Emergency Response
- Acting as the first responder for fire alarms, maintenance issues and medical incidents.
- Following emergency procedures confidently and effectively.
- Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of guests and colleagues at all times.
