REPORTING LINE: The Senior Logistics Co-Ordinator will report to the Head of Material Planning, Stores & Logistics.
THE ROLE: The Senior Logistics Co-Ordinator will be responsible for logistics to and from customers and suppliers, compliance and cost-efficiency.
DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW: Operations is responsible for ensuring the on-time and on-cost delivery of vessels to Artemis customers with a strong focus on an internal manufacturing capability in Composites. Operations consists of Vessel Operations, Manufacturing Operations, Procurement, Quality, Facilities and Manufacturing Engineering.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provide guidance and support in regard to global logistical goods movement.
- Request and action Purchase Orders for freight.
- Support invoice reconciliation to maintain positive supplier relationships.
- Ensure adherence to all import and export procedures and controls.
- Maintain established KPIs.
- Obtain relevant shipment details to complete document compliance.
- Recognise and react to the urgency of customer orders ensuring all turnaround times are met.
- Ensure accurate paperwork completion as per customers and country-specific requirements.
- Negotiate the most cost-effective shipment method.
- Process shipments to and from global customers and suppliers, compliantly and cost-efficiently.
- Control the company IPR register, maintain local records and assist monthly reviews.
- Auditing of import declarations to ensure compliance with HMRC procedures.
- Monitor production schedule and liaise with nominated ex-works carriers to ensure timely collections which will meet agreed ODD schedules.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Education/Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree or demonstrated experience in Logistics Management.
Key Skills Required:
- 5 years demonstrated experience in Logistics Management.
- Demonstrated Logistics Management in the Global Sphere.
- Ability to interrogate MRP with particular focus on stock movement transactions.
- Demonstrated experience in logistics compliance and quality management.
- Demonstrated experience in transformational environments – these can include growth, startup or general transformation associated with major new production introductions.
- Results orientation with ability to delegate and organise the team's work to ensure targets are achieved via SMART objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrable experience managing import and export operations, including end-to-end co-ordination of international shipments.
- Proven ability to arrange and oversee global transportation across multiple regions, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, trade compliance, and customs procedures, including documentation.
- Up-to-date understanding of international trade laws, duties, tariffs, and customs requirements across key markets.
- Ability to ensure compliance with all relevant international transport regulations, including those relating to air, sea, and road freight.
- Skilled in resolving cross-border logistics issues and managing customs clearance processes efficiently.
- Experience with MS Office.
Preferred:
- Management/Supervisory experience in a highly regulated Engineering/Manufacturing Environment.
- Minimum of 1 year's experience using MRP / ERP systems.
- Proven experience of driving continuous improvement.
- Experience of achieving driving cost and delivery improvement targets.
Skills Required:
- Demonstrate a high level of computer literacy with use of various software packages, MS Office, MRP Systems etc.
- Good IT skills, Spreadsheets, Presentation software, Email Communication.
- Full understanding of the standard operating procedures and work instructions for the role.
- To comply with Health and safety policies at all times whilst in the workplace.
