We're recruiting for an established global manufacturer with an outstanding reputation for innovation, sustainability and manufacturing excellence. This is a genuinely hands-on Manufacturing Engineering role where you'll work closely with Production, Operations, Engineering and Quality to identify improvements, solve manufacturing challenges and deliver measurable operational improvements.

This isn't a role for someone who's only ever worked behind a desk. We're looking for an engineer who understands manufacturing from first-hand experience—someone who's happy pulling on their safety boots, working alongside operators and then returning to the office to analyse data, develop solutions and manage improvement projects.

The Role

Reporting directly to the Operations Team, you'll be responsible for improving manufacturing processes, increasing efficiency and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site. You'll be involved in:

  • Driving Continuous Improvement projects
  • Process optimisation and performance analysis
  • Root Cause Analysis and problem solving
  • Supporting new equipment installation and commissioning
  • Developing new and existing manufacturing processes
  • Identifying cost reduction opportunities
  • Working closely with Production, Engineering, Technical and Quality teams
  • Using manufacturing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Supporting capital investment projects

About You

You'll probably have experience as a:

  • Manufacturing Engineer/Process Engineer
  • Continuous Improvement Engineer
  • Production Engineer/Industrial Engineer
  • Manufacturing Excellence Engineer

Most importantly, you'll bring a practical understanding of manufacturing and be confident working with people at every level of the business. You'll ideally have:

  • HND, HNC or Degree in an Engineering or Manufacturing discipline
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong Continuous Improvement experience
  • Excellent Root Cause Analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Experience delivering process improvements and cost savings
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (Six Sigma would be advantageous)
  • Experience supporting CAPEX or new equipment projects
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build credibility on the shop floor

What's on Offer

  • £40,000 salary
  • Monday-Friday days (8:00am-4:30pm)
  • Bupa Healthcare/Company Pension/33 days holiday
  • Stable, well-established international manufacturer
  • Genuine opportunity to influence manufacturing performance
  • Ongoing training and career development

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical Manufacturing Engineer looking to join a business where your ideas will be listened to and where you'll play a key role in improving manufacturing performance across the operation.
