Electrical Engineer Newport Area, South Wales £38,500 + Benefits
Rotating Shifts:
- Week 1: 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Week 2: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Week 3: 8:30am – 4:30pm
Artemis Talent Solutions are recruiting an Electrical Engineer on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business based near Newport. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Electrical Engineer to join a busy manufacturing environment where you will play a key role in maintaining production equipment, reducing downtime and supporting continuous improvement projects across the site.
The Role
As Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of manufacturing equipment
- Electrical fault finding and breakdown response
- Maintaining and improving plant reliability
- Electrical installations and modifications
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
- Conducting safety inspections and compliance checks
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Working closely with production teams and external contractors
The Person
We are keen to speak with Electrical Engineers who possess:
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Time-served apprenticeship
- Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding ability
- Experience working with control circuits
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
Desirable Skills
- 18th Edition qualification
- PLC fault-finding experience
- Automation experience
- Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge
- Injection moulding experience
