Responsibilities
- React quickly and safely to machinery breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to keep the plant running smoothly
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults (typically 60/40 split)
- Work across a wide range of production kit – extruders, shredders, washers, conveyors, wastewater systems and more
- Take full ownership of your jobs from start to finish, including clear reporting and handovers
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across the site
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and contribute to a strong, safety-first culture
Qualifications
- A recognised engineering qualification (electrical or mechanical bias)
- Experience in fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing or industrial environments
- Confident in electrical and mechanical fault-finding
- Good understanding of PPM and reliability practices
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and basic PLC diagrams
- A proactive, solutions-driven approach and a strong team ethic
- Full UK driving licence

- Experience with inverters, FLT licence, or plastics/extrusion machinery
- Exposure to highly automated / 24/7 manufacturing environments
