You’ll play a key part in keeping a 24/7 site running efficiently, carrying out a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and improvement projects. It’s a hands-on role where every shift brings something new, and your contribution is genuinely valued.
What You’ll Do
- Keep lines running through reactive and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults (roughly 60/40 split).
- Work on varied machinery including extruders, shredders, washers, and wastewater systems.
- Take full ownership of jobs - from fault to fix and accurate handover.
- Collaborate with your team to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards across the plant.
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified Maintenance Engineer (electrical or multi-skilled).
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong electrical skills with solid mechanical knowledge.
- Confident reading technical drawings (electrical, pneumatic, PLCs).
- A team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Full UK driving licence.
Nice to Have
- Time-served apprenticeship or 18th Edition certification.
- FLT licence or background in high-volume 24/7 manufacturing.
