Join a fast-paced, high-speed manufacturing environment where your electrical expertise keeps production moving. We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Electrician to support plant reliability, carry out planned and reactive maintenance, and ensure the safe operation of a range of automated production machinery.
The Role
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance across motors, drives, PLCs, pumps, pneumatic tools, and production machinery
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime
- Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to high standards
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
- Liaise with operators, engineers, and external contractors to resolve issues
- Maintain accurate records and ensure clear shift handovers
- Promote and uphold health & safety standards across all work areas
About You
- Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, BTEC HNC)
- Experience working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment
- Confident fault-finding on PLCs and electrical systems
- Able to interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious with strong communication skills
- Team-oriented and flexible with both day and night shifts
Note: Experience with Heidelberg or Manroland printing presses, or Bobst cut & crease / folder gluer equipment, would be an advantage but not essential.
