Field Service Engineer – Packaging Machinery
Location: Home based covering UK (mainly North, Northwest and Midlands)
£45k+ bonus, fully expensed vehicle, Pension, Private Health, mobile/laptop, life assurance and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and post-installation support of major packaging machinery and systems across the UK. You will also provide technical assistance, conduct performance trials, and deliver training to our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Commissioning: Lead and assist in the setup and commissioning of advanced packaging machinery at client sites nationwide.
- Technical Support: Offer troubleshooting and post-installation support to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Training: Conduct operator and engineer training sessions to enhance customer proficiency with our equipment.
- Performance Trials: Execute and oversee machine performance evaluations post-installation.
- Collaboration: Work closely with field service engineers, the sales team, and the Service Engineering Manager to provide comprehensive technical support.
- Supplier Interaction: Coordinate with international technicians and representatives from our partner manufacturers during installations and issue resolution.
Candidate requires:
- Qualified to C&G/ONC level or possess a vocational equivalent in electro/mechanical engineering. We are looking for a solid “all-rounder” who is 50/50 Elec/Mech ideally.
- Solid understanding of industrial machinery with a logical approach to fault diagnosis. Experience in installing and commissioning of industrial machinery would be an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and take the lead on project installations when required.
- Hardworking, self-motivated, reliable, well-presented, and possessing excellent interpersonal skills.
