Are you an experienced Technical Designer with a background in carton packaging, repro or structural design? Do you enjoy being the bridge between creative packaging design and real-world manufacturing? We are working with a highly respected packaging manufacturer looking to strengthen their Technical Design team with the appointment of a technically strong and commercially aware Technical Designer. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business where design genuinely influences production performance, customer satisfaction and innovation across multiple manufacturing sites.

The Role

Working closely with Design, Repro and Production teams, you will play a key role in ensuring packaging concepts are technically fit for manufacture whilst maintaining exceptional quality and efficiency standards. This is a highly collaborative position where you will be involved in everything from technical artwork profiles and tooling checks through to production layouts, VAVE projects and customer-facing support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating Technical Design profiles for production including Braille, Emboss, Foil and Varnishes
  • Supporting the Repro team from first stage artwork through to production
  • Carrying out technical pre-flight checks on tooling requests
