A leading UK manufacturing organisation supplying critical products into the healthcare sector is looking to appoint an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically biased engineer to join a modern production environment where reliability and continuous improvement are key priorities.
The Role
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for maintaining production equipment and site electrical systems to ensure maximum plant availability. Key responsibilities include:
- Planned preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment
- Electrical fault finding and breakdown repair
- Improving plant reliability and equipment performance
- Maintenance of electrical supply systems
- Supporting installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Working closely with production teams and external contractors
- Maintaining accurate engineering records and documentation
Candidate Requirements
We are keen to speak with engineers who have:
- NVQ Level 3 or ONC in Electrical Engineering
- Time served electrical apprenticeship
- Strong experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience with control circuits and fault finding
The following would be advantageous:
- 18th Edition
- PLC experience
- Pneumatics / hydraulics knowledge
- Automation or injection moulding experience
