We are partnering with a well-established and growing organisation in the Randalstown area to recruit a Senior Management Accountant. This is a key appointment within a busy finance team, offering the opportunity to take ownership of core reporting processes while contributing to strategic decision-making at a senior level. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a central role in delivering high-quality financial reporting, enhancing controls, and providing meaningful insights to support performance across the business. This position would suit a commercially minded, qualified accountant who is keen to step into a visible and influential role within a progressive organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and presentation of monthly management accounts, including in-depth variance and performance analysis
- Provide insightful financial reporting and support senior stakeholders in driving business performance
- Oversee the year-end process and act as the primary liaison for external auditors
- Manage accruals, prepayments, and intercompany or internal recharges
- Maintain and develop the fixed asset register, including capital expenditure oversight
- Review and control bank reconciliations and finance agreements (e.g. hire purchase)
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of statutory and regulatory returns, including UK and ROI VAT
- Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, controls, and reporting processes
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 4+ years experience in a management accounting or similar role
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA preferred) or qualified by experience
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence and support decision-making
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and financial systems
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels
- Proven understanding of financial controls, compliance, and best practice
