We are working with a long-established, highly respected commercial services group to recruit a Group Financial Controller into a key leadership role at their Northern Ireland headquarters. This is a senior, hands-on position within a sizeable finance function, offering broad exposure across operational finance, group control, treasury, and strategic business partnering.
The role will suit a commercially minded finance leader who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced, operationally complex environment. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while acting as a trusted business partner to the wider leadership team. You will play a central role in financial planning, performance monitoring, and driving profitability improvements across the group.
This is a full-time, office-based role (8.30am - 4.30pm, Monday-Friday).

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the finance function and day-to-day finance operations
- Maintain robust internal controls, governance, and audit readiness
- Manage debt, working capital, and financial risk exposure
- Oversee group liquidity, treasury, and cashflow forecasting
- Deliver high-quality management information to support decision-making
- Support the Finance Director on strategic initiatives and improvements
- Drive effective use and enhancement of finance systems
- Lead, develop, and motivate a multi-disciplinary finance team
- Undertake ad hoc duties appropriate to a senior finance role
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA or equivalent)
- Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in a fast-paced environment
- Strong hands-on experience managing finance operations
- Proven group-level financial control, including consolidations and intercompany accounting
- Advanced financial reporting and month-end close experience
- Track record of leading and developing finance teams
- Exposure to strategic, finance-led projects and change initiatives
