We have exclusively partnered with a growing NI Top 100 firm in the Newtownabbey region who are now looking to add a Financial Accountant as they have reached the next point in their growth phase. This Financial Accountant position will work closely with and report into the Financial Controller. The role itself is central to maintaining high-quality financial reporting, statutory compliance, improving internal controls, leading year-end audit, and supporting the continued development of the finance function.
What We Offer
- £48,000 - £55,000 base salary (D.O.E.)

Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of monthly financial accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timely submission
- Production of statutory reports and support with year-end financial statements
- Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and control account reviews
- Preparation of VAT, HMRC and compliance-related submissions
- Cashflow management and forecasting
- Oversight of the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals and depreciation
- Preparation of financial analysis and insightful reporting for senior management
- Business partnering with operational teams to support decision-making
- Lead in external audits and liaising with auditors
- Supporting continuous improvements across finance processes, systems and controls
- Ad hoc finance duties as required
Who We're Looking For
- Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- High level of competency with accounting software and Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A diligent, proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with non-financial stakeholders
