A newly created Financial Controller role with a growing, ambitious business in the Newry area. This is a pivotal position, working closely with the Managing Director to provide commercial insight and strategic support as the company continues its expansion. The role will suit a commercially focused finance professional who enjoys operating in a project-driven environment, with responsibility for financial control, reporting, and driving improvements across systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project-based financial planning, including cost allocation and project P&L reporting
  • Deliver management accounts, KPIs, and variance analysis to support decision-making
  • Manage cashflow forecasting and working capital
  • Maintain strong financial controls while driving process and efficiency improvements
  • Lead the implementation of a new ERP system and enhance reporting capabilities
  • Manage and develop the finance team, partnering across the business

The Person

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or strong QBE background
  • Proven experience in a growing, commercially driven business
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, controls, and compliance

  • Experience with financial systems and strong Excel capability
