We are partnering with a well-established and highly respected construction and engineering business to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant for their high-performing finance team. With a strong reputation for delivering quality projects across multiple sectors, this is an excellent opportunity to join a growing and forward-thinking organisation. This role offers a varied and fast-paced workload within a dynamic finance function, where you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient processing of supplier invoices and supporting wider financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and review supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness
- Match purchase orders and goods received notes (GRNs) to supplier invoices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier records
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve supplier queries in a timely manner
- Assist with the monthly payment run to ensure payments are processed on time
- Support month-end close activities and assist with reporting requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function
- Carry out other ad hoc duties as required
Who We're Looking For
- At least 1 year's experience in Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger
- Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
- Experience working within a busy finance team environment
- Familiarity with RedSky is desirable, but not essential
- Motivated with a desire to develop and progress within finance
