A well-established and growing engineering and manufacturing business in the Kilrea area is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to play a key role in supporting operational and strategic decision-making within a production-led environment. Reporting into the Finance Director, the Management Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of accurate management information, financial analysis, and the development of strong cost and inventory controls across the business. Benefits £40k – £55k salary (depending on experience) Bonus scheme Employer pension Health cash plan 29 days leave (plus a holiday purchase scheme) Learning fund Onsite parking Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis and commentary. Budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow analysis. Product costing, margin analysis, and support of manufacturing operations. Oversight of stock and inventory control, including valuation, stock movements, and investigation of variances. Analysis of slow-moving and obsolete stock and support of working capital optimisation. Business partnering with production, operations, and departmental managers. Support year-end accounts preparation and liaison with external auditors. Continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, and reporting processes. Candidate Profile Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Previous management accounting experience. Understanding of cost accounting and inventory management. Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail. Confident communicator, able to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders.
