We are working with a well-established, privately owned investment and property group with over 40 years experience operating across the UK and Ireland. The business has a strong track record in the acquisition, development, and management of commercial, residential, and retail property assets, supported by an in-house finance and property team. Due to continued growth, the company is now looking to expand its finance function with the appointment of an Accounts Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy, collaborative accounts team within a stable yet forward-thinking organisation.
Reporting to the Finance Team, the Accounts Assistant will support day-to-day accounting operations across multiple group entities.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and maintain purchase and sales ledgers
- Perform regular bank and intercompany reconciliations
- Prepare and submit VAT returns
- Assist with payment runs and respond to supplier queries
- Support the preparation of management accounts and year-end accounts
- Assist with project costings and property-related financial tracking
- Accounts Technician qualified or part-qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance role
- Property or asset management experience desirable but not essential
- Competitive salary, negotiable depending on experience
