Artemis Human Capital is partnering with a fast-growing, innovative renewable energy company to recruit a Business Development Manager. This is a unique opportunity to join a company driving the future of energy across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and Great Britain, delivering Solar PV, battery storage, and heat pump solutions for commercial clients ranging from small offices to large-scale industrial projects.
We are looking for a self-motivated, ambitious, and collaborative professional who thrives in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
Role Overview
As a Business Development Manager, you will be at the forefront of the company’s growth, identifying and closing new commercial Solar PV opportunities. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will work closely with project management, internal teams, and subcontractors to ensure seamless delivery from sale to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new leads through cold calling, email campaigns, and proactive outreach
- Identify, negotiate, and close deals in line with sales targets
- Manage and grow accounts with a focus on long-term relationships and repeat business
- Produce accurate weekly and monthly sales reports covering activity, pipeline, and forecasts
- Sell across multiple product sets and market sectors
- Research target customers and develop tailored engagement strategies
- Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events
- Maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and the competitive landscape
- Continuously expand and nurture a pipeline of prospective clients
About You
- 2-3 years sales experience in a growth sector, ideally renewable energy, engineering, or manufacturing
- Strong business acumen with an understanding of financial performance and profitability
- Proven experience in SMB and/or enterprise markets in Northern Ireland
- Skilled at delivering structured, professional presentations to corporate audiences
- Customer-centric with a relationship-building mindset
- Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, working effectively with delivery, product, and pre-sales teams
