About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established law firm with a strong presence across Northern Ireland and the island of Ireland. The successful candidate will support the conveyancing team in all administrative, procedural and client-facing tasks, ensuring smooth workflow and high client satisfaction.
You will be based in the Dungannon office and work closely with solicitors specialising in residential and commercial property matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid legal or property experience who wishes to develop in conveyancing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with all stages of conveyancing transactions: from initial client contact, title searches, preparing documentation, liaising with clients, lenders, estate agents, and Land & Property Services
- Managing property files, ensuring all deadlines, key dates, and required checks are adhered to
- Drafting standard conveyancing correspondence, requisitions, lease documentation, transfer deeds, etc.
- Monitoring and managing client communications, keeping clients up to date on progress
- Reviewing reports (title, planning, local searches) and flagging issues or missing information
- Liaising with other professionals (surveyors, local authorities, financial institutions)
- Handling financial tracking and reporting (e.g. client payments, fees, disbursements)
- Administrative support: organising meetings, preparing bundles, scanning, document management
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and anti-money laundering requirements
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a conveyancing role or in a legal / property support role
- Strong knowledge of property law / legislation in Northern Ireland
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple files and deadlines simultaneously
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Confidence in dealing with clients and third parties (estate agents, local authorities, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal case-management / conveyancing software
- High degree of integrity and commitment to confidentiality
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude
