What you’ll do
- Lead the procurement, design and implementation of a new electricity billing engine.
- Guide the business through the market assurance process
- Design and maintain the end-to-end billing architecture, including data flows, integrations, and logic.
- Partner with IT, Operations, Regulations, Finance, Credit Control, and Customer Services to ensure solutions meet business and compliance needs.
- Oversee integration with CRM, metering systems, and market messaging platforms.
- Drive the rollout of new billing features, tariffs, and product offerings.
- Ensure system scalability to support rapid customer growth.
- Support audits by maintaining full traceability of billing logic.
- Champion process automation, digital reporting, and innovative customer solutions.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and champion a culture of continuous improvement.
What we’re looking for
- Degree-level qualification.
- 5+ years’ experience designing or managing billing systems in the Irish energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of market messaging, metering data, and tariff structures.
- Understanding of NI or RoI regulatory compliance (e.g. Utility Regulator NI, CRU, NIS Cyber Assessment Framework).
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and process-driven mindset.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical requirements into clear, business-friendly solutions.
- Track record of working to deadlines and driving results.
