We are seeking to appoint a Senior Financial Governance Manager, reporting to the CFO. This is a high-profile leadership role with responsibility for strengthening financial governance and control frameworks across a complex organisation, while supporting executive decision-making at the highest level. In this role, you will enhance internal controls, strengthen risk management, and ensure the organisation maintains the highest standards of compliance, transparency, and accountability. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, with direct influence on strategic and operational decisions. The position offers broad exposure across governance, audit, pensions, and risk, with regular engagement across senior stakeholders and external assurance partners. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to make a meaningful impact within a large, purpose-driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert financial governance advice, assurance, and insight to senior leadership and the CFO
- Strengthen and continuously improve internal control frameworks, governance structures, and risk management processes
- Lead on fraud prevention, anti-bribery compliance, and oversight of investigations and reporting
- Act as Secretary to the Audit; pensions governance experience would be an advantage
- Competitive salary (£62,206 - £68,857)
- 28 days annual leave + statutory holidays
- Hybrid working (3 days from home)
