We are working with a fast-growing and innovative business who have recently secured new funding and are now looking to expand their finance function with the addition of a Newly Qualified Accountant. The person can come from any discipline - audit, tax, corporate finance, restructuring, etc. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, this role will play a key part in delivering high-quality financial reporting, ensuring statutory compliance, while strengthening internal controls, contributing to commercial projects, and supporting the ongoing development of the finance function.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts and support year-end close, including group consolidations
- Maintain the general ledger and perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and submit VAT, corporation tax packs, and HMRC compliance returns
- Support FP&A activities including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Produce cashflow reporting and rolling cashflow forecasts
- Maintain the fixed asset register, including depreciation and disposals
- Prepare management accounts, KPIs, and financial analysis for senior management
- Partner with operational teams to support financial planning and decision-making
- Act as primary contact for external auditors and audit deliverables
- Improve financial controls, processes, and reporting accuracy
- Support ad hoc finance projects and analytical tasks
Who We're Looking For
- Qualified Accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- High level of competency with accounting software and Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A diligent, proactive and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growing environment
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with non-financial stakeholders
