Artemis Human Capital is working exclusively with a locally owned FMCG business to appoint a Management Accountant to support the Head of Finance in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. This is a broad, hands-on role combining management accounting responsibilities with full ownership of the purchase ledger and key operational finance processes. You will also act as deputy to the Head of Finance when required, helping ensure continuity across the finance function.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end close, including accruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and variance analysis
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Assist with year-end audit and reporting requirements
- Own the end-to-end purchase ledger process, including invoice processing, matching and posting
- Reconcile supplier statements and prepare payment runs
- Maintain accurate supplier master data and ensure strong financial controls
- Provide cover for the Head of Finance as required, supporting continuity of operations and prioritisation of workload
- Support continuous improvement of financial controls, processes, and documentation
Skills & Experience:
- Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills
- High attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Ability to manage both operational and management accounting duties
