We are working with a well-established and growing organisation within the facilities management and specialist services sector. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Accounts Officer to join their finance team. This is a varied and hands-on role supporting both the purchase ledger and sales ledger functions, while providing financial administration support across the wider business. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and clients, gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting and commercial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process purchase invoices and maintain accurate purchase ledger records
  • Reconcile supplier statements and manage supplier payments
  • Set up and maintain new customer accounts
  • Prepare monthly payment reports and support cash flow processes
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, resolving queries efficiently
  • Raise sales invoices and update client tracking systems
  • Allocate remittances and maintain accurate sales ledger records
  • Produce financial and operational reports as required
  • Support internal job costing processes
  • Manage filing, scanning, post, and general finance administration duties
  • Attend client and contract review meetings where required
  • Provide support across the wider finance function

Who We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and suppliers
  • Experience working within facilities management, construction, engineering, or service-based industries is desirable
