Artemis Human Capital is delighted to be recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a busy and well-structured finance team on a fixed-term contract basis with an immediate start available. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on finance role, supporting both day-to-day transactional activity and month-end processes within a fast-paced environment. You will join a collaborative team where you can quickly add value, gain exposure across multiple areas of finance, and build on your existing experience.

The Role: Working closely with the Financial Controller and wider finance team, you will support the smooth running of finance operations while assisting with key reporting processes. This is a varied position offering a mix of processing, reconciliation and reporting support, ideal for someone who enjoys being involved across all areas of finance.

  • Support daily finance activities across the department
  • Assist with month-end processes, including journal postings
  • Review and prepare daily and weekly sales information
  • Process payments and maintain banking records
  • Set up payment templates and assist with electronic payments
  • Raise manual invoices and maintain accurate records
  • Perform bank and control account reconciliations
  • Liaise with internal teams to resolve queries and ensure accuracy
  • Provide general accounts and administrative support as required

About You: You will be organised, proactive and comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment. You enjoy problem-solving, take pride in accuracy and are confident communicating with colleagues across the business.
