Artemis Human Capital are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to support a busy Finance team. Based in Cookstown, this role will contribute to key financial operations across reporting, compliance and process improvement. It offers a valuable opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic business with cross-functional exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Manage cashflow monitoring, supplier payments, and employee expense processes
  • Support VAT, Intrastat, EC Sales, and year-end compliance across UK and ROI
  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and manage intercompany transactions
  • Provide operational support across finance functions and participate in improvement projects

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with strong technical knowledge
  • Excellent Excel and IT skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g. Navision) desirable
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • A proactive and ethical approach with a focus on continuous improvement
