Our client is a long-established and highly successful Northern Ireland-based group with a diverse portfolio of international businesses. With a proud heritage and a strong track record of growth and innovation, the business is seeking to appoint a new Group Accountant to join its growing group finance function.
You will report to the Financial Controller and contribute to the delivery of timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting across a complex, multi-entity group structure. The role will support key financial processes, provide analysis, and ensure financial control is maintained across all group operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts and annual statutory financial statements

Management of intercompany reconciliations across group entities
-
Involvement in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal financial policies

Collaborate with business unit finance teams to review performance and support improvements

Coordinate with external auditors during the year-end audit

Drive improvements in reporting, controls, and financial systems

Support various ad hoc projects including acquisitions and systems enhancements
Requirements:

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)

Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience, ideally within a group or multi-entity environment

Excellent financial analysis and Excel skills

Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines

Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
