Chief Financial Officer

Artemis Executive Search has been retained by a scaling business in Co. Down to appoint a dynamic and commercially astute Chief Financial Officer This is a newly created role, reflecting the companys ambitious growth trajectory and ongoing investment in its leadership team.

The CFO will work in close partnership with the CEO and Board to lead the financial strategy, drive operational performance, and play a key role in executing the companys acquisition and growth plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Partner with the CEO to shape and implement financial strategy in alignment with the companys long-term growth objectives, including expansion through acquisitions.
  • Financial Management & Reporting: Lead all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks.
  • M&A and Growth Initiatives: Take a lead role in identifying, evaluating, and integrating acquisition opportunities. Provide financial due diligence and post-acquisition integration support.
  • Investor and Stakeholder Relations: Prepare and present reports for investors, the Board, and key stakeholders. Support fundraising activities and manage relationships with financial institutions.
  • Operational Efficiency: Oversee financial systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and driving automation and scalability in finance operations.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven track record in a senior finance role, ideally as CFO or Finance Director in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, or PE-backed business.
  • Demonstrated experience in M&A, financial modelling, and investment appraisals.
  • Commercially driven, with strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach.
  • Collaborative leadership style with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
