Our client is seeking a Consultant Area Sales Manager based in Cambridge, East Anglia, or Kent to strengthen our presence in the Building Services Consultant sector - supporting existing customers and securing new business with cutting-edge HVAC technologies. This is an opportunity to step into a trusted advisor role, representing a brand recognised for innovation, sustainability, and excellence in indoor air quality.
Responsibilities Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow your own territory, working closely with your Line Manager and fellow Area Sales Managers to deliver on annual sales targets.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with contractors and key stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Maintain a healthy project pipeline using our Quotation Management CRM Software (QMS), keeping timelines and conversion assessments up to date.
- Stay informed about local market trends, competitor activity, and construction developments—and share insights with your team.
- Promote a full range of HVAC equipment and service offerings, including items such as AHUs, Fans, CCUs, Chillers, and FCUs, among others, to help expand our market share and brand visibility.
- Contribute to the strategic development of the Applications team, collaborating across departments to unlock new opportunities.
- Experienced in the field of design & selection of equipment.
Candidate Profile:
- Based in Cambridge, East Anglia or Kent.
- A qualification in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC (ONC, HNC/D, or Degree level preferred) or a proven track record in this role.
- At least 5 years of field-based sales experience, ideally within the HVAC or building services industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems and design principles, with a strong design knowledge of equipment design/selection.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, CRM systems & Selection software.
