Job Description Paraplanner Hybrid Job Type: Full-time, Permanent An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Paraplanner to join a professional Financial Planning team supporting Financial Advisers and high-net-worth clients. The successful candidate will provide high-quality research, technical support and report writing, enabling Financial Advisers to focus on client relationships and business development. You will be responsible for producing detailed, client-focused recommendation and strategy reports, ensuring all work meets regulatory and compliance requirements. Provide technical and research support to Financial Advisers Conduct detailed financial research and analysis Prepare high-quality recommendation and strategy reports Produce clear, concise and client-friendly reports in Plain English Support advisers with complex financial planning cases Research and analyse financial products and solutions Provide support across pre- and post-retirement planning Assist with pension transfers and SIPP-related cases Research investment and taxation matters Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial planning and advice process Ensure all work meets regulatory, compliance and quality standards Provide regular workflow and case updates to Financial Advisers Keep up to date with relevant legislation, training and industry best practice The ideal candidate will be an experienced Paraplanner with a strong technical background and previous experience working within an IFA or Financial Planning environment. Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning or equivalent Previous experience working as a Paraplanner within an IFA environment Proven experience conducting financial research Strong experience writing suitability, recommendation or strategy reports Excellent technical knowledge across a range of financial planning areas Knowledge of pre- and post-retirement planning Experience with pension transfers and SIPP providers Good knowledge of investments and taxation The ability to explain complex financial information clearly and in Plain English 25 days' holiday, increasing by 1 day per year up to 30 days ~ Discretionary bonus ~ Employer pension contributions of up to 7.5% ~ Life assurance of up to 4x salary ~ Income protection of 75% of basic salary in the event of long-term sickness ~ Access to professional financial advice ~ Interest-free season ticket loans ~ Employee shopping and lifestyle discounts ~ Training and professional development opportunities If you are an experienced Paraplanner with Level 4 qualifications and a strong background in technical research and report writing, this could be an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a professional Financial Planning environment.
