Financial Planner

Location: Milton Keynes

Salary: £80,000

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Financial Planner to join a growing and professional Financial Planning business.

You will act as a trusted adviser to new and existing clients, providing high-quality financial advice and building strong, long-term client relationships.

The role would suit an experienced Financial Planner or Financial Adviser who is passionate about client service, business development and delivering excellent financial planning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted adviser and primary point of contact for clients
  • Provide high-quality, tailored financial advice
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Develop professional networks and generate referral opportunities
  • Contribute to business growth and revenue
  • Manage a varied portfolio of client cases and meet deadlines
  • Ensure advice and client work meet regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver excellent client outcomes
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and client service
  • Support and mentor less experienced team members
  • Share knowledge and contribute to a positive team environment
  • Introduce clients to relevant wider financial services where appropriate
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, conduct and integrity

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Financial Planner or Financial Adviser and a proven track record of building strong client relationships.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Financial Planner or Financial Adviser role
  • Strong knowledge of the financial planning process and solutions
  • Good understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management
  • Ability to manage multiple client cases and work to deadlines
  • Strong commercial awareness
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • A proactive and client-focused approach
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Willingness to support and develop less experienced colleagues

Qualifications

  • CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 4) or equivalent – essential
  • CII Advanced Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (Level 6) or equivalent – desirable
