Artemis is a digital marketing agency based in West Sussex. We have a client waiting list and are looking for an Account Manager. We are looking for someone to thrive in a fast‑paced company; someone who drives to help businesses succeed and who likes working with good people doing great work.
Job details
This role is HYBRID. Successful candidates are expected to be in the office 3 days per week. During the probation period, successful candidates must be in the office 4 days per week. Due to the beautiful remote location, a car and a valid driving licence are essential, and you must be able to travel to the office.
Responsibilities
- Proactively maintaining good, healthy client relationships through regular phone, email and face‑to‑face meetings.
- Collaboratively working with the Technical SEO team to define the correct strategy and delivery schedule to meet the needs and objectives of the client.
- Maintain high‑quality service delivery in terms of efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Working with client development plans and internal processes to deliver long‑term client relationships.
- Documenting all client contact to share with the client and internal stakeholders.
- Reporting regularly to the Account Director on the status of your clients.
- Ensuring the delivery of monthly marketing reports to clients within the first 4 working days of the month, including an account manager’s report summarising the month’s activities and how they align with the client and campaign objectives.
- Identifying and presenting new business opportunities to your portfolio of clients to grow agency revenues.
- Analysis, tracking and monitoring of rankings, conversions and traffic using a wide range of tools.
- Management of client budgets.
Requirements
Experience required:
- A minimum of 2 years account management experience ideally gained working within an agency environment.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced industry with competing client demands, and an exceptional ability to work methodically and with a high level of attention to detail.
Skills required:
- Good understanding of SEO practices.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, along with project management, time and resource management tools.
- Strong self‑motivational and confident interpersonal skills to effectively communicate across all levels of management and with all stakeholders.
- Strong project and account planning skills to ensure effective management of client expectations to deliver relevance and quality on a daily basis with organisational skills to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- A demonstrable passion and shared ambition to deliver client business objectives from the very outset, and to ensure that each project makes a positive contribution to the overall client strategy. Empathetic to client perspectives and needs.
- High customer service orientation with a stellar record of account management and client satisfaction.
- Exceptional verbal, written and visual communication skills.
- Experience of successfully managing a diverse range of SME clients.
Technical knowledge required:
- Excellent IT and web literacy, including Microsoft Office and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new software and digital processes quickly and easily.
- Knowledge of digital marketing is desirable, but an interest is key.
- Some SEO knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- A natural and confident communicator with a flair for building and nurturing strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Commercial acumen to identify business opportunities for clients and for Artemis, while delivering excellent results.
- Exceptional analytical and problem‑solving skills and a keen understanding of the importance of technical and financial data.
- A keen team player across the board, able to take ownership of client projects in a calm and professional manner and turn strategy into successful implementation.
- First‑rate project/account management skills, from interpreting the client brief to communicating with service delivery teams to managing, meeting and exceeding client expectations.
- Responsive can‑do attitude and the ability to prioritise client needs across multiple accounts, often in the face of rapidly changing needs.
