The Role: As a Property Surveyor, you will play a vital role in supporting acquisitions, developments, and property management by delivering accurate surveys, assessing property conditions, and advising on land use and compliance. You will work closely with legal teams, planners, and construction professionals to ensure all projects align with statutory requirements and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed property surveys, including boundary checks, structural assessments, and condition reports
- Measure and map property boundaries to support planning applications, legal matters, and development plans
- Prepare clear, concise reports and documentation for internal teams and external stakeholders
- Inspect buildings for potential acquisition or redevelopment, identifying risks and opportunities
- Monitor construction projects to verify compliance with planning permissions and property boundaries
- Offer expert advice on land use, valuation impacts, and development feasibility
- Liaise with legal representatives, local authorities, and planning consultants
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of all surveying work
About You:
- Degree-qualified in Surveying, Property, Geomatics, or a related field
- Chartered status (RICS or MRICS)
- Proven experience as a Property or Land Surveyor, ideally across both residential and commercial sectors
- Proficient in surveying tools such as AutoCAD, Total Stations, GPS, and GIS systems
- Strong understanding of planning legislation, property law, and building regulations
- Excellent communication, analytical, and reporting skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required
