We are working with a well-established, family-owned food manufacturing business based in the Portadown area, operating at significant scale and supplying major UK retailers and food service partners. As part of continued growth, they are now seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified or studying accountant who is looking to develop their career within a stable, growing FMCG business.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process supplier invoices, credit notes, and employee expenses
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve queries
- Perform regular bank reconciliations
- Reconcile petty cash and company credit card transactions
- Post and match receipts and payments
- Assist with month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, and journals
Who We’re Looking For:
- 2+ years’ experience in a similar accounts or assistant accountant role
- AAT qualified or studying towards AAT / part-qualified ACCA or CIMA
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and month-end processes
- Experience using accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar)
- Desirable: Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
