As a result of continued growth and ongoing investment, the business is now seeking to appoint a Transport Planner to support increasing operational demands and drive further efficiencies across its transport and logistics function. The Role
As Transport & Logistics Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating and optimising the movement of stock and assets across a large multi-site network spanning the UK and Ireland. Working closely with operational teams, transport providers, and key stakeholders, you will ensure transport activities are effectively planned, resources are utilised efficiently, and service levels are consistently achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily transport schedules across multiple locations.
- Manage the movement of a diverse range of stock and assets throughout the network.
- Liaise with internal departments, external transport providers, and operational teams.
- Monitor transport activity and proactively address logistical issues and challenges.
- Maximise fleet and subcontractor utilisation while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve transport planning, operational efficiency, and service delivery.
- Produce reports and analyse operational performance data.
- Support compliance with transport legislation, company procedures, and health & safety standards.
About You

- Previous experience in transport planning, logistics coordination, supply chain operations, shipping, or fleet management.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience working within a fast-paced, high-volume operational environment.
