Artemis Human Capital are working in partnership with a successful and growing accountancy practice in South Belfast to appoint a Payroll Assistant Manager to their established payroll team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced payroll professional looking to step into a more senior position with leadership responsibilities while continuing to work closely with an impressive and varied client base.
The successful candidate will oversee payroll delivery for a portfolio of clients while supporting and mentoring junior team members within the department.
Responsibilities:- Managing the delivery of client payroll services
- Reviewing payroll processing completed by junior staff
- Acting as a key point of contact for client queries
- Ensuring compliance with payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
- Supporting and mentoring junior payroll staff
- Assisting with process improvement initiatives within the team
- Previous payroll experience within accountancy practice or bureau
- Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff advantageous
- Strong technical payroll knowledge
- Excellent client management skills
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- £35,000 - £37,000 salary
