Artemis Human Capital are exclusively recruiting for a Key Account Manager on behalf of a leading FMCG firm in South Down. As a Key Account Manager, you will contribute to the effective development and execution of a robust sales strategy to increase the company's profile within target markets. You will build and maintain collaborative partnerships that support sustainable and profitable business growth. This role exists to strengthen customer relationships, drive sales performance, and ensure that the company consistently delivers value to its customers while meeting business objectives.
You will contribute by managing both strategic and day-to-day account activities, ensuring customer requirements are met, and identifying new growth opportunities. You will reflect the company's core values of quality, legality, and authenticity, enabling customers to achieve exceptional results through a shared passion for food and people.
Your Duties:
- Contribute to forecasting short-, medium-, and long-term budgets alongside the management team.
- Support the development, implementation, and delivery of the company's growth strategy.
- Develop and achieve personal sales targets, including preparing forecasts and tracking performance.
- Identify, profile, and pursue new business opportunities within target markets while maintaining excellent service for existing customers.
- Build and maintain strong strategic relationships to support long-term partnerships and contract growth.
- Present products and solutions to existing and prospective customers through meetings and formal presentations.
- Provide product guidance and negotiate pricing and delivery terms, ensuring awareness of margin impact and commercial implications.
- Assist with identifying tender opportunities and preparing tender submissions.
- Liaise regularly with customers to ensure satisfaction with products and services.
- Contribute to new product development through customer feedback and market insights.
- Maintain and update CRM systems with accurate customer and pipeline information.
- Represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions, ensuring strong brand visibility and presentation standards.
- Conduct research and analyse market intelligence and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
- Work closely with internal departments such as production, NPD, quality, and logistics to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Arrange and support customer visits to site when required.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to the Sales Director and management team.
- Carry out any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by your Line Manager.
Essential Criteria:
- GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) or a recognised third-level qualification in a business-related discipline.
- 25 years' commercial sales experience within the FMCG food sector.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience preparing customer proposals and delivering presentations.
- Proven ability to manage customer relationships at Key Account level.
- Experience working towards and achieving sales targets.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
