Artemis Human Capital is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice in Newry to recruit an Accounting & Tax Manager. This is a superb opportunity for an experienced practice professional ready to step into a key leadership role with genuine autonomy and a varied client portfolio.
The Opportunity
This is a non-audit position offering a broad and engaging workload across accounts and tax. You will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely and commercially focused advice.
Core duties will include:
- Reviewing and overseeing the preparation of statutory and management accounts
- Managing corporate and personal tax compliance
- Providing practical, value-add advisory support to clients
- Monitoring workflow and ensuring deadlines are consistently achieved
- Acting as a trusted advisor and primary contact for your client base
Alongside managing client relationships, you will support and mentor junior staff, reviewing their work and contributing to their technical development.
The Ideal Candidate
- ACA or ACCA qualified (qualified by experience will also be considered)
- Proven background within an accountancy practice setting
- Strong technical knowledge across accounts preparation and tax
- Organised, proactive and confident in managing client relationships
- Experience overseeing or supervising team members would be advantageous
