An established and growing multinational firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance function in a key, hands-on role. This position offers the opportunity to work within a global organisation while also providing leadership, exposure to multiple business units, and involvement in strategic financial processes. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant will play a central role in day-to-day accounting operations while supporting the wider finance team and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and reviewing general ledger entries across multiple business units
- Reviewing and approving journals and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure robust controls and segregation of duties
- Leading, mentoring, and developing junior finance team members
- Owning key month-end activities including reporting, margin analysis, fixed assets, and variance analysis
- Supporting statutory accounts preparation, year-end audits, and tax-related work
- Overseeing payroll activities and supporting processing when required
- Providing insightful financial analysis to support management decision-making
- Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working cross-functionally to ensure accurate and timely financial information
Who we are looking for:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills and strong systems aptitude
