An established and well-regarded Facilities Management business is strengthening its commercial team and is now seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a growing portfolio of FM projects and maintenance frameworks across the UK & Ireland.
This is a key role within the FM projects function, offering exposure to a steady pipeline of work, long-term client relationships and a collaborative, professional environment.
The opportunity
You will take ownership of the commercial performance of FM and minor works projects, supporting delivery teams from contract award through to final account. The role suits a commercially astute QS who enjoys autonomy, problem-solving and working closely with operational and client stakeholders.
What you will be doing
- Managing the commercial aspects of FM projects and maintenance frameworks
- Preparing, negotiating and agreeing variations, final accounts and valuations
- Monitoring costs, margins and cashflow to ensure projects perform commercially
- Producing accurate client reports and contractual documentation
- Supporting invoicing and ensuring timely payment cycles
- Identifying commercial risk and advising on contract terms
- Assisting with dispute resolution where required
- Working alongside operational and bid teams on new and existing work
- Building strong working relationships with clients, supply chain partners and internal teams
What we are looking for
- Proven Quantity Surveying experience within Facilities Management, Construction or MTC environments
- Strong working knowledge of JCT, NEC and bespoke contracts
- Solid understanding of construction practices and cost control
- Confident managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
- Minimum 5 years' QS experience, with evidence of operating at Senior QS level
