Litigation Solicitor 2 PQE Lisburn | Northern Ireland An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Solicitor with 2 PQE to join an established and well-regarded legal practice in Lisburn.

This is an opportunity for a solicitor with solid contentious experience to join a busy litigation practice handling a broad range of commercial, civil and defence litigation matters on behalf of both private and corporate clients.

The role would suit a solicitor looking to build on their existing litigation experience, take ownership of their own caseload and work on a varied mix of contentious matters, with exposure to both High Court and County Court proceedings.

The Role You will be involved in a varied caseload covering areas such as: Commercial and contractual disputes.

Company and shareholder disputes.

Property and land disputes.

Professional negligence matters.

Personal injury and claims-related litigation.

Motor, employers' liability and public liability defence work.

Insurance-related litigation.

Dispute resolution and settlement negotiations.

Court proceedings and interlocutory applications.

Arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.

About You You will ideally have: Experience managing your own contentious caseload.

Good experience of civil and/or commercial litigation.

Strong drafting and legal research skills.

Experience preparing pleadings, statements, affidavits and court documentation.

Confidence dealing with clients, counsel and other professional advisers.

Good negotiation and dispute resolution skills.

Court and advocacy experience, or a willingness to develop this further.

Excellent organisation and attention to detail.

A practical and commercially minded approach to resolving disputes.

Experience in defence litigation, insurance work, commercial disputes or property litigation would be particularly relevant, although applications from solicitors with a broader contentious background will also be considered.

The Opportunity This is a chance to join a busy and varied litigation practice where you will be exposed to a broad spectrum of contentious work rather than being restricted to one area of litigation.

You will have the opportunity to work with businesses, insurers and private clients, develop your advocacy and dispute resolution skills and take increasing responsibility for your own matters.
