We are currently working with a progressive and highly regarded Northern Ireland law firm that is seeking to appoint a Family & Matrimonial Solicitor (3+ PQE) to join its expanding specialist family law team based in County Down.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to join a well-established practice with a strong reputation for high-quality private family law work across Northern Ireland, including complex matrimonial finance and children matters.

The Role

The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of privately funded family and matrimonial matters, including:

  • Separation and divorce
  • Financial settlements and ancillary relief
  • Children Order proceedings and custody disputes
  • Domestic violence matters
  • Civil partnership disputes
  • Cohabitation, pre- and post-nuptial agreements
  • Complex financial cases involving pensions, trusts, businesses, farms and inherited assets
  • Collaborative settlements and negotiated resolutions
  • Cases with cross-jurisdictional or international elements

The role offers exposure to high-quality and often complex work, with the opportunity to work alongside experienced specialists in this area.

Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Solicitor in Northern Ireland with 3+ years PQE
  • Strong experience in family and matrimonial law
  • Ability to manage files independently from instruction to conclusion

  • Experience dealing with privately funded matters
  • A sensitive, practical and commercially minded approach
