Executive Assistant & Governance Officer Newry Competitive Package We are delighted to be partnering with a highly successful, family-owned group with an international presence to recruit an Executive Assistant & Governance Officer We are seeking a highly organised and experienced professional to join a successful, growing organisation in a varied role that combines senior-level executive support with company secretarial, governance and compliance responsibilities across the wider Group. Working closely with the Group Managing Directors and senior stakeholders, you will provide proactive and confidential executive support while also assisting with Board activity, corporate governance and company secretarial requirements across the Group. Key Responsibilities: Executive Support Provide confidential and proactive support to the senior management team, including complex diary and priority management. Organise senior meetings and events, preparing agendas, presentations, briefing materials and other documentation. Attend Board and senior management meetings, taking accurate minutes and tracking agreed actions. Manage correspondence and communications on behalf of senior leadership. Coordinate travel, accommodation, itineraries and expenses. Prepare reports, presentations and correspondence, as well as undertaking research when required. Build strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders and maintain accurate records and filing systems. Governance & Company Secretarial Support the administration of Board and subsidiary company meetings, including agendas, Board packs, minutes and action tracking. Maintain statutory registers and corporate records. Assist with Companies House filings. Liaise with Directors and key stakeholders on governance and company secretarial matters. Support the administration of Group insurance arrangements and wider governance and risk management activities. Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant governance requirements and internal policies. Ideally, you will have: Demonstrable experience providing executive support and assisting with company secretarial and governance matters. You will be a highly organised, discreet and proactive professional with experience supporting senior executives. Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Confidence working with senior internal and external stakeholders.
