We are delighted to be partnering with a growing engineering and manufacturing business to recruit a Senior Accounts Clerk for their finance team based in Dungannon. You'll support the wider finance function across financial accounting, month-end processes, reconciliations, AP/AR and financial reporting, while gaining broader exposure to management accounts and commercial finance. The successful candidate will be joining a collaborative finance team and will have the opportunity to develop their accounting knowledge and take on increased responsibility over time. This is a full-time, permanent position offering genuine long-term career prospects and study support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Complete bank, supplier and balance sheet reconciliations
- Process journals and ensure accurate financial records are maintained
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Process supplier invoices and employee expenses
- Monitor customer accounts and assist with credit control activities
- Prepare financial reports and variance analysis
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities
- Assist with VAT, payroll and statutory reporting where required
- Support internal and external audit requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls
- Assist with wider finance projects and system-related activities
Who We're Looking For
- Previous experience working within a finance or accounting environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls
- Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software, e.g. Sage
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent would be advantageous
- Experience supporting month-end accounts preparation would be beneficial
- ERP or finance system experience such as SAP, Oracle, Sage or Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous
