Accounts Technician Dungannon We are delighted to be partnering with a growing engineering and manufacturing business to recruit an Accounts Technician for their finance team based in Dungannon. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established business during an exciting period of growth. You'll support the wider finance function across financial accounting, month-end processes, reconciliations, AP/AR and financial reporting, while gaining broader exposure to management accounts and commercial finance. The successful candidate will be joining a collaborative finance team and will have the opportunity to develop their accounting knowledge and take on increased responsibility over time. This is a full-time, permanent position offering genuine long-term career prospects and study support. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts Complete bank, supplier and balance sheet reconciliations Process journals and ensure accurate financial records are maintained Support month-end and year-end close processes Process supplier invoices and employee expenses Monitor customer accounts and assist with credit control activities Prepare financial reports and variance analysis Support budgeting and forecasting activities Assist with VAT, payroll and statutory reporting where required Support internal and external audit requirements Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and controls Assist with wider finance projects and system-related activities Who We're Looking For Previous experience working within a finance or accounting environment Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial controls Strong Excel skills and experience using accounting software, e.g. Sage Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent would be advantageous Experience supporting month-end accounts preparation would be beneficial ERP or finance system experience such as SAP, Oracle, Sage or Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous What's On Offer Competitive salary Study support available Pension scheme On-site parking Exposure to management accounts and wider financial reporting Genuine long-term career progression Supportive and collaborative finance team Opportunity to develop within a growing business If you're an experienced finance professional looking to take the next step in your accounting career and gain broader exposure across financial accounting and reporting, get in touch with Diarmuid for a confidential discussion.
