We are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly respected business within the agri-business sector to recruit a Credit Control Officer for their finance team based in Moira. Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the accounts receivable function, ensuring customer accounts are managed effectively, payments are collected within agreed terms, and strong customer relationships are maintained. This role would suit an organised and proactive finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and building strong working relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage customer accounts to ensure they remain within agreed trading terms and credit limits
  • Review customer accounts on an ongoing basis to assess credit risk and monitor trading activity
  • Open new customer accounts, processing credit applications and carrying out credit checks in line with company policy
  • Process and allocate customer payments accurately and prepare daily bank lodgements
  • Proactively contact customers via telephone, email, and written correspondence to recover outstanding balances
  • Negotiate and manage payment plans where accounts fall outside agreed terms
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all customer interactions on internal systems
  • Attend and contribute to monthly credit meetings with sales teams and management
  • Work closely with customers to resolve account disputes efficiently and professionally
Who We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in a Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or finance-related role
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage a high-volume workload
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
