We are partnering with a long-established and highly respected manufacturing business to recruit a Transport/Logistics Planning Coordinator to join their busy operations function. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build practical experience in transport planning, logistics coordination and operational support. The role offers broad exposure across the end-to-end delivery process, working closely with internal teams, external hauliers and customers to ensure efficient and timely distribution of goods.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting daily transport operations, ensuring schedules are accurate, documentation is maintained and deliveries are executed smoothly within agreed service levels.
Key responsibilities:- Coordinate daily transport and delivery schedules with internal departments
- Arrange bookings with approved transport and haulage providers
- Maintain accurate records of loads, schedules and transport documentation
- Prepare dispatch paperwork and ensure POD (proof of delivery) tracking is completed
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the logistics team
- Assist in improving efficiency across transport and warehouse processes
- Support compliance with internal procedures and quality standards
