We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and respected organisation in the manufacturing and distribution sector, for a Logistics and Transport Coordinator to join their busy office-based team. This is a key administrative role with direct interaction with internal departments, external customers and approved transport providers. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth planning, coordination and execution of delivery operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with internal teams to gather information required to plan and schedule transport loads
- Book and coordinate transport with approved haulage providers, ensuring all service requirements are met
- Prepare, maintain, and reconcile accurate load records and associated transport documentation
- Issue dispatch paperwork and ensure timely return, filing and recording of proof of delivery (POD) documents
- Provide general administrative support and assist with ad hoc tasks across the wider office team
- Maintain professional knowledge of products and support accurate order fulfilment
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Support compliance with quality standards and certifications including ISO 9001
About You
You’ll be highly organised and proactive with strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be confident cross pollinating with different departments and have the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
