Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will play a key role in shaping our commercial marketing strategy, supporting business development activity and ensuring our marketing investment delivers measurable commercial value. Working closely with the Operations & Business Improvement Manager, Senior Marketing Executive and our recruitment and executive search teams, you will help strengthen our market presence, identify new commercial opportunities and support the continued growth of Artemis across the UK and Ireland. The Role
This is a varied and commercially focused position where no two days are the same. You will take ownership of our commercial marketing strategy while also supporting business development initiatives, helping to generate new opportunities, strengthen existing client relationships and enhance the Artemis brand. You will work alongside the Managing Director and senior leadership team to ensure our marketing activity supports the firm's wider commercial objectives and contributes directly to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Marketing
- Develop and implement Artemis Human Capital's commercial marketing strategy.
- Produce annual and quarterly marketing plans aligned with business objectives.
- Develop campaigns that generate qualified business opportunities and enhance brand awareness.
- Oversee the effectiveness of marketing activity, ensuring it delivers measurable commercial outcomes.
- Work with external marketing and SEO partners to maximise digital performance.
- Ensure marketing activity supports both Executive Search and Professional Recruitment divisions.
- Business Development
- Support business development initiatives across the firm.
- Develop marketing campaigns that generate new client opportunities.
- Produce high-quality proposals, presentations, credentials and pitch documents.
- Attend client meetings, networking events, conferences and industry functions to raise the profile of Artemis Human Capital and support relationship development.
- Support consultants in developing marketing initiatives that strengthen existing client relationships.
- Identify opportunities for new service offerings, sectors and geographical expansion.
- Commercial Insight & Performance
- Produce monthly executive dashboards and commercial reports.
- Analyse marketing performance, website analytics and lead generation activity.
- Measure campaign effectiveness and return on investment.
- Provide commercially focused recommendations to improve marketing performance.
- Present findings and strategic recommendations directly to the Managing Director.
- Market Intelligence
- Monitor market trends, client activity and emerging opportunities.
- Produce insight reports to support strategic planning and future growth.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen Artemis' market position across the UK and Ireland.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with the Operations & Business Improvement Manager to evaluate commercial performance and marketing ROI.
- Partner with the Senior Marketing Executive to ensure strategic campaigns are delivered effectively.
- Develop processes, templates and systems that improve consistency and efficiency across the business.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Artemis Human Capital both internally and externally.
About You
You are commercially minded, analytical and relationship-focused. You enjoy understanding what drives business growth and are motivated by seeing your work deliver tangible commercial outcomes. You may already be working within a dedicated marketing role, or you may have developed strong marketing and business development experience within a client-facing B2B environment where commercial growth, networking and relationship management are integral to success. You are equally comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders, attending client events, developing commercial campaigns and analysing business performance.
Essential Requirements
- Degree or professional qualification in Marketing (or a closely related discipline).
- A CIM qualification would be advantageous.
- Proven experience working within a B2B commercial environment.
- Experience developing or supporting marketing initiatives that contribute to business growth and lead generation.
- Strong commercial awareness with an understanding of how marketing supports wider business objectives.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience producing proposals, presentations and marketing content.
- Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting marketing performance and commercial data.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and representing an organisation externally.
- Willingness to attend networking events, client meetings, conferences and industry functions as part of the firm's business development strategy.
- A proactive, collaborative and commercially focused approach.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience within a professional services environment such as recruitment, executive search, legal, financial services, consultancy or accountancy.
- Experience supporting business development, client acquisition or commercial growth initiatives.
- Experience using Google Analytics, CRM platforms and digital marketing tools.
- Experience working within a growing SME or entrepreneurial business.
